ALS week Locarno
During our ALS week in Locarno I had the chance to tickle my ride to some edges....unfortunally the camera was not as spontanious as Melissa and me and didn't catch all the action where my wife turned away.... :-)

Last week the camera team went with me on my first shopping trip, alone with Melissa. For public transport, I taught Melissa how to use the public transport app, which she could then use to buy the bus ticket for me. While shopping, we were able to gain our first experience of the surprises we have to master as a team of two "head and hand". This time we were lucky because the items on the shopping list were within our radius of action. In the end Melissa paid with the credit card and, as she learned intensively at home, no longer said the numerical code out loud.

Final training day of my 4week rehab
During my rehab I focused on stabilizing my walking skills, allowing me to keep doing short transfer from my wheelchair on my own. Therefore I had free walking exercises, torso stability training and bicycle cardio training - which also supports respiratory therapy. The pulmonary function test showed a slight improvement to last year. :-)
A great team of caregivers and therapists supported my successful outcome of this years rehab!

Swiss National television (SRF) is working on a documentary until summer showing our family life with ALS. An initial filming day has been completed and we got an interesting view behind the scene on how such productions are created.
